Xpeng is bringing the G9L to Europe as its new electric flagship SUV. The 5.12-meter-long vehicle will be built for the European market by Magna in Graz and is due to reach its first customers from December 2026. At launch in Germany, Xpeng will offer the Ultra trim line. The key technical figures are a 110-kWh NCM battery, up to 591 kilometers of WLTP range and an 800-volt architecture with charging power of up to 540 kW.

Large SUV with six or seven seats

The G9L measures just under two meters wide, 1.78 meters high and has a wheelbase of 3.10 meters. Xpeng offers it as a six-seater with two individual seats in the second row or as a seven-seater with a 2:3:2 layout. The front Nappa leather seats are electrically adjustable, heated, ventilated and equipped with a massage function; the second row also offers heating, ventilation and massage. In the third row there are two electrically folding, heated and ventilated seats. The trunk holds 367 liters according to the VDA standard, or up to 1,330 liters with the third row folded. Another 65 liters are available under the front hood. Towing capacity is up to two tonnes.

Drivetrain, charging and chassis

Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are planned for the G9L. The RWD Long Range Ultra produces 270 kW, or 367 hp, and achieves the highest stated range of 591 kilometers under WLTP. The AWD Performance Ultra delivers 430 kW, or 585 hp, and 695 Nm, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and manages up to 553 kilometers under WLTP. All variants are limited to 200 km/h. Under optimal conditions, charging from 10 to 80 percent is said to take less than twelve minutes; a 22-kW AC charger is standard. Via Vehicle-to-Load, the SUV can supply external devices with up to 6 kW. Adaptive dampers, dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering, which reduces the turning circle to eleven meters, are also standard. The air suspension can raise ground clearance to up to 216 millimeters; the stated wading depth is 700 millimeters.

Interior, assistance and prices

In the cockpit, Xpeng combines a 17.3-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard head-up display. The XOS 6.0 system uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 and integrates Google Maps via a software development kit into navigation, traffic data and charging planning. For the rear, there is a retractable 21.4-inch 3K display, plus a sound system with 23 speakers, acoustic glass and active noise cancellation. Next Generation Pilot is based on Xpeng’s new computing platform with its own Turing AI chips; an OTA update for Level 2++ partially automated driving is planned from 2027, provided local rules and authorities allow the functions. In Germany, the G9L RWD Long Range Ultra with seven seats starts at 74,600 euros. The AWD Performance Ultra costs from 79,600 euros as a six-seater and from 85,600 euros as a seven-seater.
